“ Came here with my wife to celebrate our anniversary for the first time and it was great! Service was efficient and food was delicious. Highly recommend if looking to go out for a special occasion. Ambience was nice and relaxing! ”
“ We made a reservation for 8:30, almost no wait time. The place is beautiful and the staff is very welcoming. I got the chicken and filet mignon combination plate with fried rice. My partner got the same. The food was amazing and so filling! Our chef Fabian was hilarious and made the experience more intimate and personal. We had a great date night! ”
“ Mikado is wonderful. One of our favorite spots for tepanyaki. The service here is good. The chefs are awesome, and the food is amazing. This is a fun place for date night or to take a group for a celebration. It never disappoints. I like to get the sumo combo for two and we always have leftovers for the next day. You get a little bit of everything with it: steak, prawns, scallops, lobster, chicken, vegetables, rice. You really can't go wrong. The steak and lobster combo is always great too. Check this place out. You will not be disappointed. If the boats are running, enter through the hotel and ride them to the restaurant. If it is windy, they won't be available but they are running most of the time. Enjoy! ”
“ Amazing restaurant! We were so happy this restaurant was available at our hotel with just a small walk away. The inside and out were gorgeous. The staff was friendly. We loved the food and atmosphere! We got the sumo dinner for 2 for $189. It came with shrimp, scallops, lobster, chicken and filet. Highly recommend for a nice date night! ”
“ This is the ONLY good place to eat at this JW. I very much recommend just going to the bar and eating there - truly fresh and flavorful fish! Even the uni was excellent and my hubby is a snob about his uni (lol) - a delicious lychee martini, I mean 4 since we were there about 3 hours snacking and drinking. Also tried the Gyoza, perfectly pan-friend and great sauce. We then met up with friends and did the full teppen-yaki dinner. It was fun, cook was telling the typical jokes and tossing pieces of shrimp at empty mouths - basically the Benihana experience, but it was a fun night. Chicken was overcooked, so was the steak, but again, we didn't expect it to be amazing. I'd say skip that and just go for some sushi, rolls, sashimi and all the ala carte offerings from the bar. ”
“ Loved the skewers and cocktail at this place. Great ambiance and all around great time. We had a big party and our sever was great! ”
“ Wowww! What a gorgeous and great restaurant ! We came here for dinner yesterday, on Friday 10/4. We were a lot , about 36 people; 7 families from LA, that went on a vacation in the Palm Desert area. My daughter chose that restaurant, and made a reservation for 20 people (that how we started this trip). When more people decided to join us, they made their own reservations, for various different hours (whatever was available online). On Friday, my daughter called the restaurant, and explained SEAN, the manager , that we are a big group, with different hours of reservations, but would like to dine together. I will not exaggerate if I will say that this nice and kind manager (SEAN) did EVERYTHING he could to accommodate all of us together at 8pm, and moreover, put all of us (36 people!) together in a private room. He greeted us upon arrival, and during the whole evening checked on us, to make sure everything is o.k. Thank to him, and his wonderful crew, we had a beautiful and unforgettable evening! The food was delicious and the service was outstanding ! The vibe and the atmosphere is so happy and vibrant. The chefs are doing anything to make your experience here unique and happy. We all enjoyed it SO much! Excellent food, with a great entertainment. If you are visiting the Palm Desert area, do not miss this gorgeous restaurant. To my opinion (and basically everyone in our group), it is a must visit. We couldn't have a better Friday evening anywhere else. Thank you SEAN, you are such a treasure to this restaurant. ”
“ A wonderful experience from start to finish! Great customer service! Family friendly. Food is always fresh and portions are generous! Have loved coming here as a child and the experience as an adult bringing my own children was EXTRA special! Can't wait to come back ”
“ I like this place better than the other competitor. The waiting area is really nice, there is an outdoor garden, nice little bar to have appetizers. The food is good and the show is fun. I had the Mikado Special - Lobster, Filet Mignon, and Shrimp - all were perfectly cooked. We had sushi as an appetizer while waiting for our seating. Pro Tip: for a great experience take the boat from the hotel lobby (you have to make reservations on line). ”
